![]() ![]() Basically - you will be able to be combo-breaker and prevent most of enemies (ever bosses) from doing their attacks. All of them are completely badass - you will be able to do combos (unlike 'press X to win' with greatswords), your attacks will be fast enough (only katanas and knifes are faster), and your damage will be pretty solid. And not only that, but also ones of best non-binded to weps (e.g - unlike most of usefull magic, you will be able to use them without requirment to wear staff/wand) damaging/combo-breaking skills.Īs poleaxe fighter, you will get access to three types of weps - poleaxes, skythes and spears. But, later, you also will get access to buffs, makes you able to fight completely armorless (e.g be faster). Youll need a high Endurance just to be able to lift it, but maxing out your Strength will allow you to deliver crushing blows with the Scepters incredible base damage and S-Class Strength scaling. In my opinion, best build here is prayers + poleaxe.Īs prayer: on early game - you will be able to heal uself. The Trinity Scepter is the ultimate brute-force weapon in Salt And Sanctuary. Then go wherever you want - there are items, refund skillpoints (not all, just selected one per item) on use, so - if you will find your build bad, you always can switch to another one. It has pretty cool weapons, comparing to chef, and doesnt lock skillpoints on something, you, probably, wont like/need later (comparing to everyone else). The physical attack buff stacks with other damage buffs (such as Pitchfire) Causes Poison build-up on the player if the player uses the item. So TLDR: start as Cleric, enter Devara's Light, then work towards using hammers and greathammers. Upon use, grants the player the following buffs: +50 physical attack damage. The healing prayers also cure the Wounding you get from all these hits you tank instead of dodging, the holy weapon buff prayer goes really well along with a weapon with as much raw power as the Warhammer, and there's even some attack prayers for enemies outside of your melee range. and since many bosses have long delays between their attacks, this is likely to get your HP up to max before the next attack. and it made me more or less unstoppable :Pĭevara's Light's healing items are awesome, they also buff your defense for a few seconds when used, and since they heal over time this means you can drink them right before getting hit by an attack to reduce damage AND get your HP back. I entered Devara's Light, got the skills needed to use the Warhammer (accessible pretty early on), and then balanced prayers and physical attack pretty well. and that's the character I beat the game with in the end. e.g.I started off the game as a paladin, ran into trouble, played some with a friend using a new (mage) character, and then started off as a cleric just to try all classes. ![]() Note: Similar to weapons, magic/prayers will not be enabled until the appropriate skill level/class is aquired - you will see an X across the skill until you aquire the skill/class.If you see only one red line (over weapons) it means you must two-hand the weapon to use it effectively. Note: If you see weapons or armor with two red lines forming an X, it means you don't have the requirements to use the item. Please see the Classes page for more information on that. Most Classes begin the game with 2 predetermined Skills (they are different for each class). Other skills are purely for stats, and these skills can be purchased repeatedly (5x times each) to allow your character to gain higher stats on a specific path. Some skills will unlock specific features, like unlocking higher class equipment or gaining more healing items at a Sanctuary. In between these parts - where they come together - you will see a mix of Skills that would be beneficial to hybrid users. The Skill Tree is laid out in such a way that Magic users will put points into the left side of the tree, Dexterity users will put points into the upper left part of the tree, Strength users will put points into the upper right part of the tree and Wisdom users will use the right side of the tree. This will give you a more accurate readout of how each stat change will affect your character. You can use L2/R2 to cycle between the panels. To the left of the Skill Tree is a seperate window that displays your character stats. Gray Pearls will refund you Black Pearls, should you choose to respec a Skill. You can acquire Black Pearls by spending Salt in a Sanctuary, or by finding them through out the game. The Tree of Skill in Salt and Sanctuary is where the player will spend Black Pearls and Gray Pearls to acquire Skills. ![]()
